Secombe Centre - Sutton 25 February 2000 by Trevor Hoskins
My son and I saw Rick at the Secombe Centre in Sutton. I have been a Yes fan since the Yes Album, my son, now 14, since the Open Your Eyes tour and we jumped at the chance of seeing the main man in person. I had seen 5 of the Yes gigs in the preceding weeks, my son had seen 3, and we just needed to see the one person missing.

It was a great evening, relaxed, great music, good stories and some entertaining stuff from the sound man, whom we sat next to. Afterwards we talked to Rick for a while. I'm not sure how he can stand talking for ages when he must just want to go and fall asleep before heading off the next day to another part of England. My son, completely captured by the sounds of the Keys to Ascension albums asked if Rick would ever work with Yes again and was broken hearted to hear the answer ,"No." A great, great evening. Thanks Rick, you're the man.
