I am delighted to inform you that the Rick Wakeman Celebrity Golf Classic will be held for the fourteenth time. The venue this year is the Old Course at Burhill Golf Club in Walton on Thames, and the main sponsor for the second year is PROFLEX.

Before I tell you more about the event, I must point out that it is all in aid of SPARKS, SPort Aiding medical Research for KidS, which is one of the foremost children’s charities. SPARKS is supported by hundreds of celebrities from the world of sport, stage and screen and is dedicated to improving the lives of sick children.  Last year we raised over £43,000 for SPARKS and, of course, we would very much like to exceed that amount this year.

The venue for the Gala dinner is the Hilton Hotel Cobham; this is about 5 minutes drive away from the Burhill Golf Club. The evening entertainment is always a very special occasion with many of Rick’s friends taking part. All golfers receive a complimentary ticket for the Gala Dinner, and it is an excellent opportunity to bring partners, guests and business colleagues, additional dinner tickets are £75 each. Space is limited for the dinner so there is a maximum of 230 places, please book early! The gala dinner will be black tie

Accommodation at the Hilton hotel has been reserved for the evening of the 7th; preferred rates are available so please mention the event when making your booking. (£80 single, £90 double).

Golf format

A team of three players will cost £895, and sponsorship opportunities are available. Players will receive coffee and a snack on arrival, an excellent late buffet lunch and a round of golf. A SPARKS celebrity will accompany each team of three amateurs for a chance to win some of the many prizes. All players receive a ticket for the Gala Dinner.
